Microsoft and All for Lunch are teaming up to eliminate school lunch debt throughout Georgia! For some children as young as 5 years old, school lunch may be their only guaranteed meal of the day. When a child carries lunch debt, they may face lunch shaming, be given an alternate meal of a bread and cheese sandwich, or even denied access to field trips, dances, or even walking in their graduation.
Let’s make sure every child has access to lunch.
One in every six children in Georgia is currently food insecure. With food insecurity rising, many impacted families rely on school meals for their nutritional needs.
Help us make sure no child is given an alternate meal or denied lunch at school due to financial circumstances that are completely out of their control. Your donation will go towards paying off delinquent lunch accounts and funding reserve accounts in school so that when a child comes through the lunch line with no funds, the reserve account will cover the cost of their meal. This helps to make sure every child has access to lunch at school, regardless of their financial situation at home.
