Charles Brant Chesney Elementary School is Now Lunch Debt Free!

Another day and yet another Duluth, GA elementary school is lunch debt-free! Today I visited with Principal Dr. Ricardo Quinn at Charles Brant Chesney Elementary school where we gave a check for $1750.00 to not only pay off ALL of the school lunch debt but also funded the All for Lunch reserve account. Now if a child ever finds they have run out of lunch money in their account, they can access the All for Lunch funds to cover the cost of their meal! Now no child will be denied a full lunch at school due to lunch debt!

Many people hear lunch debt and think that if we pay off all the debt then the children will have access to lunch. While paying off the debt not only helps the families that need financial support but also the school as well, there is still so much more to be done. When you only eliminate the lunch debt, the child is now back to $0.00 – they still do not have money to pay for their lunches. At All for Lunch, we recognize the solution to eliminating lunch debt is two-fold. First, we pay off the entire school lunch debt and then we fund an All for Lunch reserve account. If a child ever finds they cannot pay for their lunch, the All for Lunch reserve account kicks in. This guarantees that no child will be denied a school lunch due tonot having the funds in their account!
