What is an All for Lunch Volunteer Community Coordinator?
It’s simple. A Community Coordinator is an individual that is passionate about helping the food insecure children in their community have access to essential meal items.
What does a Volunteer Community Coordinator do?
- We create a donation page specifically for the community the coordinator would like to serve. Our Community Coordinator then helps spread awareness of our mission to help grow support in that community.
- Once we have established an All for Lunch presence in the community, we work with the local schools to schedule days our community coordinators can come either solo or with a team, to help prepare our All for Lunch school pantry donations. These are items that will be sent to the school and then bagged so that the school can provide them to the food insecure children in the school to take home at the end of the day.
- Community Coordinators can also host fundraisers within their community to help grow the financial support that goes into supporting their local schools.
What is the time commitment of an All for Lunch Community Coordinator?
As a volunteer, you can put in as little or as much time as you are able with your schedule. We work with community coordinators to help raise awareness and support of our mission to eliminate school lunch debt and fight against childhood food insecurity. Even if the local school currently does not carry any outstanding lunch debt, there is still so much work to be done to help the most vulnerable children in the community have access to essential meal items.
